Leona Bauer and Susan Herczeg volunteered with the 2004 Appel Farm Arts
and Music Festival on June 5, 2004. Both have volunteered with the festival
for more than ten years. The Festival benefits the Appel Farm private summer
arts camp for children. The line up for the 2004 show included Ani DiFranco,

Kathleen Livingston participated in the 2003 Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer
Foundation 20th Anniversary Race for the Cure. Foundation funds go toward
the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research
and community-based outreach programs. Working through a network of U.S.
and international Affiliates and events like the Komen Race for the CureŽ,
the Komen Foundation is fighting to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening
disease by funding research grants and supporting education, screening and

Nancy Renay Griffin served as Captain of the Dragon Boat that raced in the Second Annual Dragon Boat Festival in October of 2003. M. Elizabeth York, Paralegal and Leanne Brown also participated in the race. Proceeds of the race benefited Fox Chase Cancer Center. "We're proud to be the beneficiary of the Philadelphia Dragon Boat Festival," said Robert C. Young, M.D., president of Fox Chase Cancer Center and national president of the American Cancer Society. "We are extremely grateful for the generous donation to cancer research from the Festival's participants, sponsors, and spectators. We commend the spirit of the competition and share in the exhilaration of victory."

Leona and Susan have been involved with CCRA for several years.
